Software Engineer (Banking, PERM, 55K+)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing, designing, and maintaining complex banking systems, with expertise in microservices architecture and mainframe environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that meet business needs.

• Understand business needs, security, and quality standards to support system design and development.
• Manage project documentation, system environments, and ensure adherence to technical standards and architecture guidelines.
• Design and develop system components such as screens, reports, interfaces, and automated processes; plan and supervise programming tasks.
• Design and maintain databases, and provide technical support to ensure systems are available, secure, and high-performing.
• Monitor system alerts, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve problems and meet service requirements.
• Assist in planning, testing, and implementing disaster recovery procedures, system migrations, rollouts, and upgrades.
• Conduct system testing, review test cases, and sign off on testing phases; document procedures, create user manuals, and train end-users.
• Perform regular system audits for security, compliance, and performance, and develop operational documentation.

Requirments:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and experience with Linux, Windows Server, MQ, and shell scripting.
• Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and SQL are a plus.
• Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins), and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of ATM, card systems, or banking channels is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience troubleshooting critical IT systems, managing vendors, and ensuring system security and compliance.
• Attention to detail, good documentation skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
