Enterprise Architect (Application Portfolio Management)

A leading large-scale organisation is seeking a Enterprise Architecture (Application Portfolio Management) to drive enterprise-wide application strategy and optimisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage the enterprise application portfolio, defining and driving a comprehensive application lifecycle management strategy across the organisation
• Lead application rationalisation and optimisation initiatives, identifying opportunities to modernise, consolidate, replace, or retire systems to improve efficiency and eliminate redundancy
• Establish and maintain application architecture standards, governance frameworks, and portfolio structures, including capability mapping and application grouping for effective planning
• Act as a key member of governance forums to review and assess solution proposals, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives
• Maintain a centralised and up-to-date application inventory to support strategic planning, risk management, and investment decisions
• Provide architecture guidance and advisory to application and development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and robust solution delivery
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align application roadmaps with organisational priorities and drive measurable value
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and industry trends to support innovation and digital transformation initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across the application landscape, balancing innovation, stability, and operational efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 10+ years of IT experience, with exposure to application portfolio management or enterprise architecture
• Proven experience managing complex application landscapes in large-scale organisations
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and enterprise architecture principles
• Experience across both on-premise and cloud platforms preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
