Program Governance Lead - FS (~90K)
A leading global financial institution is seeking a Programme Governance Lead to join their high-performing team in Hong Kong. What you'll do:
- Establish comprehensive governance processes for data and digital channel programmes, creating forums that mitigate risks and provide clear visibility into ongoing initiatives.
- Support the delivery of multiple projects in line with established project governance frameworks, methods, competencies, and change management standards.
- Provide regular status updates and detailed reporting on programme health to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring issues are identified early and addressed effectively.
- Partner with diverse areas of the organisation such as Operations, Product teams, and Client Management to build alignment and drive shared goals across business groups.
- Facilitate the development of strategic tools that enable effective prioritisation of client needs within the broader programme landscape.
- Work alongside teams to embed new cultures and collaborative ways of working throughout leadership structures and wider staff communities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on capability maturity, agility, cost efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.
- Elicit, analyse, prioritise, and validate requirements in partnership with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet evolving organisational needs.
- Build project artefacts that support effective project management, tracking progress against milestones and ensuring accountability across work streams.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale programmes with a strong background in establishing effective governance structures within financial services or similar sectors.
- In-depth understanding of data management principles and digital capabilities relevant to modern financial institutions.
- Proven ability to create comprehensive project artefacts that facilitate efficient project tracking and management across multiple work streams.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to influence senior leaders, motivate partners across departments, negotiate priorities sensitively, and communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
- Expertise in eliciting requirements from stakeholders at all levels; analysing business needs; prioritising deliverables; validating solutions; and building lasting partnerships within complex organisations.
- Track record of driving digital transformation initiatives focused on enhancing capability maturity while promoting agility and cost efficiency throughout programme lifecycles.
- Experience supporting cultural change by embedding collaborative practices among leadership teams as well as broader staff populations.
- Commitment to continuous improvement through proactive identification of opportunities for process optimisation within programme environments.
