PMO Manager - IT procurement & contract mgmt - 90k
My client is looking for PMO Manager to take lead on the review of IT procurement and contract management for process improvement and streamlining
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, collaborating with internal teams to improve operational processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
- Oversee the review and optimization of procurement and vendor management processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Support the lifecycle of procurement activities, including new or renewal processes, to ensure value for money and adherence to standards.
- Serve as a key representative of the Project Management Office (PMO), guiding project managers to comply with governance protocols and escalating issues of non-compliance to senior leadership.
- Refine project financials and PMO processes to align with internal policies, optimize IT investments, and improve overall workflows.
- Develop and implement streamlined project governance frameworks and portfolio management procedures, enabling effective prioritization of initiatives based on strategic value, resource availability, and risk considerations.
- Provide support for change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption by stakeholders such as project managers and team leaders.
- Design and implement management reports, performance dashboards, and metrics to monitor financials, project progress, and portfolio performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Job Requirements
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior supervisory role.
- Certification in relevant practices, such as Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
- Strong expertise in areas such as project management, PMO operations, process improvement, change management, and procurement activities, preferably within an IT-related environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business strategies and execute process enhancements effectively.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and financial metrics associated with IT projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with effective influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
