Network Engineer (Contract, Financial Services)

A leading financial institution seeks a Network Engineer in Hong Kong to strengthen enterprise network infrastructure, enabling secure connectivity, business continuity, and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities:

• Configure and administer enterprise network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and security appliances
• Maintain LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, wireless, and cloud network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential risks to minimise service disruptions
• Perform software upgrades, patch management, and firmware updates to maintain network security and stability
• Investigate and resolve network incidents within agreed service levels, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
• Support network capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation initiatives to improve performance and resilience

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3–8 years' enterprise network support experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, and enterprise network monitoring tools
• Experience supporting enterprise network environments; financial services experience is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting mission-critical environments and meeting SLA targets
• Fluent in Cantonese with Chinese writing proficiency; CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Azure/AWS networking certifications are an advantage
