IT Operator (Shift-Based)

A leading financial institution seeks an IT Operator in Hong Kong to safeguard 24x7 IT operations, ensuring the continuous availability, stability, and performance of mission-critical systems and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor servers, networks, systems, and applications to keep IT services running smoothly
• Respond to system alerts and fix basic issues, escalating complex problems to the right team when needed
• Perform daily system checks, backups, batch jobs, and routine maintenance to ensure stable operations
• Support data centre operations and help maintain IT equipment and infrastructure when required
• Keep accurate records of incidents and tasks, and provide on-call support to maintain 24x7 IT operations

Candidate profile:

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–3 years’ experience in IT Operations, Service Desk, Infrastructure Support, or NOC. Fresh graduates are also welcome
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Good communication skills in Cantonese and English
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call when required
