This is a unique opportunity for you to contribute your technical expertise in system administration, infrastructure design, and IT operations within a supportive environment that values professional growth and teamwork. Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily monitoring of IT systems and execute essential operational tasks to ensure optimal performance across all platforms.
  • Administer system infrastructure by managing servers, networks, and virtual environments with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Participate actively in the design and enhancement of system infrastructure architecture, contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Set up testbeds for proof-of-concept testing and evaluation of new technologies, technical standards, and products to assess suitability for organisational needs.
  • Develop comprehensive operation procedures that uphold IT service management principles, risk management protocols, and stringent data security measures for all IT infrastructure.
  • Support the implementation of IT projects such as disaster recovery drills, business continuity planning exercises, and application releases.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems into existing environments while maintaining high levels of reliability.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, changes, and incident responses to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for complex issues related to Wintel platforms, virtualisation technologies, networking components, and backup solutions.
  • Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of IT processes by identifying areas for optimisation and recommending effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification demonstrating a solid foundation in information technology principles.
  • Minimum three years’ hands-on experience working with VMware ESXi environments as well as Windows Server administration within enterprise settings.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Windows Server platforms including configuration management using SMS/ConfigMgr tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Office365 suite deployment and maintenance within corporate infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Active Directory integrated DNS services along with TCP/IP networking protocols such as DHCP and WINS operations.
  • Practical experience implementing backup technologies—knowledge of Veeam & Avamar considered advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation technologies beyond VMware (such as Hyper-V) would be beneficial for broader project involvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds on shared objectives.
  • Excellent written documentation abilities ensuring clear communication of technical procedures for both internal use and audit purposes.
  • Commitment to upholding best practices in ITSM frameworks while maintaining sensitivity towards risk management requirements.
