Senior Manager - Data Solution (~90K)

As a Business Analyst (Senior Manager) you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of the organisation’s data landscape. Your will engage deeply with business teams to uncover analytics needs, translating these into actionable requirements for technical teams. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders—ensuring communication flows between business users, product managers, developers, data scientists, vendors—and championing best practices in data analysis.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate closely with business teams and senior stakeholders to formulate analytics use cases, understand data requirements, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the entire stakeholder journey on the enterprise data analytics platform (EDAP), ensuring effective communication between business units, product managers, data scientists, development teams, and vendors.
• Develop best practices and guidelines for data analysis technologies and techniques such as data profiling, source database analysis, data mapping, and classification; drive adoption across teams.
• Ensure quality assurance, ownership, and traceability of all analysis deliverables including business opportunities documentation, user stories, data mapping artefacts, and interface specifications.
• Support delivery management by working alongside development and assurance teams to ensure that business objectives are met through successful project outcomes.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive culture by actively participating in cross-team efforts and modelling collaborative behaviours that build trust and respect within the organisation.
• Provide strategic insights that align with overall programme objectives while identifying tools required for Lean Delivery lifecycle support and automation opportunities.
• Facilitate collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) within IT as well as stakeholders from other divisions to ensure comprehensive solution delivery.

What you bring:

• 8+ years’ experience in business analysis within large corporate environments
• A degree in Management, Business Analytics or an equivalent discipline provides the foundational knowledge required for success.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Lean principles is necessary to support modern delivery approaches within IT projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, re-engineer, document complex business processes using industry-standard tools such as Jira or Confluence is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are required for effective stakeholder engagement across English-speaking teams; proficiency in Cantonese or Putonghua is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills enable you to develop trusted relationships with internal IT staff, business managers, external vendors while fostering teamwork.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Lean Delivery processes ensures you can drive continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
• Understanding of IT risk management frameworks—including cybersecurity governance—and regulatory compliance supports robust solution design.
• Capability to define/support capabilities needed for effective IT-business interactions enhances project alignment with organisational goals.
• Certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA is preferred; experience facilitating workshops or mapping customer journeys is considered beneficial.
