The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in SOC operations, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with cybersecurity tools

About the Role

A leading organisation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join their cyber threat intelligence team. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and hands-on experience in threat monitoring, analysis, and reporting. You will play a critical role in supporting daily operations within the Security Operations Centre (SOC), contributing to incident response efforts, and leveraging tools and open-source intelligence platforms to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate cyber threats.

Key responsibilities:

Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities
  • Monitor emerging threats and trends to provide actionable intelligence
  • Develop comprehensive reports on threat activity and recommendations for mitigation

SOC Operations & Incident Response

  • Support daily SOC operations, including threat monitoring and analysis
  • Assist in responding to cyber incidents by investigating root causes and providing remediation strategies
  • Collaborate with the SOC team to enhance detection capabilities and improve incident handling processes

Tool Utilisation & Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)

  • Utilise cybersecurity tools effectively; demonstrate proficiency in tools you have prior experience with
  • Leverage open-source intelligence platforms to gather relevant data on potential threats

Automation & Reporting

  • Work with Microsoft automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Prepare detailed reports on threat intelligence findings for internal stakeholders

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline
  • Professional cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCTI, CTIA, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cyber security, including at least 1 year of hands-on cyber intelligence and security operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, TTPs, intelligence and incident response lifecycles, security operations, Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
  • Proficient in cyber security tools and services, including OSINT platforms and threat intelligence solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and reporting skills, with the ability to present technical and non-technical intelligence findings effectively
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with flexibility to support critical incidents outside regular business hours; knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an advantage
