M/SM - Data Security or Network Security
Your background should include hands-on involvement with DLP tools, encryption technologies, CASB solutions, certificate management platforms, as well as exposure to policy development or enforcement activities.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure effective data loss prevention (DLP) policies are implemented to minimise the risk of data loss across all relevant platforms.
- Design and implement DLP policies consistently across multiple communication channels such as email, web, endpoints, chat applications, and more.
- Operate and maintain the Certificate Management platform along with its supporting components including internal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and templates.
- Detect unsanctioned SaaS application usage within the organisation and implement measures to mitigate associated risks of data leakage or unauthorised access.
- Identify criteria for onboarding SaaS applications into Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions and manage the end-to-end onboarding process.
- Continuously assess potential channels where sensitive data could leave the network and apply appropriate technological controls to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Work closely with the Cyber Awareness & Training Team to promote understanding of data security fundamentals among departmental coordinators and management staff.
- Support adherence to Information Classification and Handling Standards by providing guidance, enforcing policy through technology controls, and offering expert advice across departments.
- Monitor emerging threats related to data protection and proactively recommend enhancements to existing security frameworks based on industry best practices.
- Document processes thoroughly while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards for information security.
requirements :
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline demonstrating foundational knowledge in technical concepts relevant to cyber security operations.
- Operational experience in Data Security & Protection domains covering one or more areas such as DLP implementation or policy enforcement within large-scale environments.
- Proven track record delivering Data Security & Protection services with an emphasis on service quality and customer-focused outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds while communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional integrity through disciplined work habits and adherence to high ethical standards in all aspects of your role.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Data Loss Prevention tools, Data Encryption solutions, Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), Information Protection platforms, and Certificate Management systems.
- Industry-recognised certifications such as CISSP or CISM would be considered advantageous but are not mandatory for consideration.
- Ability to identify emerging risks related to SaaS adoption or new communication channels while recommending practical mitigation strategies tailored for enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting organisational awareness campaigns or training initiatives focused on information security best practices is highly desirable.
