Associate Director/Director, Interest Rates Trader

Our client, an international banking group, is hiring an Associate Director/Director, Interest Rates Trader.

• Provide competitive liquidity and continuous pricing across a broad suite of financial instruments, including bonds, interest rate products, NDIRS, and CCS.
• Conduct deep market analysis using advanced digital and data-driven tools to identify and capture profitable trading opportunities.
• Partner closely with Sales and Structuring desks to deliver bespoke solutions, onboard institutional clients, and grow the bank's franchise business.
• Actively track global macroeconomic indicators, central bank policies, and shifting market conditions to make high-conviction trading decisions.
• Employ rigorous risk management strategies to monitor portfolio exposures, ensuring all trading activities strictly align with internal limits and regulatory guidelines.
• Stay ahead of regulatory shifts and market trends, providing clear, actionable updates to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative business discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in Asia interest rates trading, with a strong preference for candidates possessing deep exposure to the China market.
• Extensive knowledge of financial markets, complex derivative structures, and regional regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional decision-making skills under pressure, with a demonstrated ability to navigate rapidly changing, volatile market conditions.
• Solid hands-on experience utilizing advanced algorithmic trading platforms, data analytics tools, and financial models.
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Putonghua to effectively engage with regional clients and counterparties.
