Sales Director - Electronic / Distributor
A leading global electronic components distributor is seeking an APAC Sales Director to drive commercial growth across Asia.
You will lead regional sales strategy, expand key customer accounts, and deliver sustainable revenue and gross profit performance. This role offers the opportunity to build high-performing teams and shape long-term partnerships across a dynamic and fast-growing market.
Key responsibilities:
As APAC Sales Director – Electronic Distribution, you will lead regional commercial strategy and execution to drive profitable growth across Asia.
- Develop and execute a profitable APAC sales strategy covering both geographic and industry expansion, fully aligned with regional and corporate objectives
- Identify and secure required resources (people, capital, suppliers, and product solutions) to deliver growth plans efficiently and at pace
- Provide clear, timely reporting to senior leadership on sales performance, gross profit, active customers, risks, and opportunities
- Lead regional sales and marketing activities to achieve revenue and margin targets while expanding and strengthening key customer relationships
- Drive active customer growth by increasing revenue-generating accounts, reactivating dormant customers, and strengthening the sales pipeline
- Lead major commercial negotiations and strategic account reviews as the senior regional representative of the business
- Build and lead a high-performing APAC sales team while fostering strong supplier partnerships, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with production and operations to support delivery, quality, and market responsiveness
Candidate profile:
You are an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in electronic distribution and interconnect products, capable of driving regional growth in complex markets.
- Extensive experience in the interconnect industry (connectors, cable assemblies, or related electronic components) with strong technical product knowledge
- Proven commercial track record managing sales performance, gross profit delivery, and active customer account growth in complex regional markets
- Strong strategic and operational capability to quickly assess opportunities and risks, develop actionable plans, and deliver profitable results
- Highly effective communicator and influencer, able to build trust and advocate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Well-established industry network and strong professional reputation across suppliers and customers in the APAC region
- Degree-qualified (engineering preferred), with strong Microsoft Office skills for reporting and analysis; fluent English required with Mandarin highly advantageous and MBA/advanced training considered a plus
