About the Role

My client is looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Category leader to drive category growth and in-store excellence. This is a high-impact role responsible for developing winning category strategies, shopper insights, and Perfect Store frameworks to significantly grow Net Sales Value and strengthen our position with key retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end Category Leadership and Perfect Store agenda in markets.
  • Manage and develop a team of Category and Store specialists.
  • Conduct deep category opportunity assessments and translate shopper & market insights into actionable customer category plans (assortment, placement, pricing, promotion, and secondary displays).
  • Develop compelling, insight-led solutions and planograms that influence shopper behaviour and deliver mutual growth with retailers.
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, and customer teams to build strong category credentials and become the trusted advisor to key accounts.
  • Drive execution excellence and continuously measure ROI of in-store activations.
  • Collaborate with regional/global teams to adapt best practices locally.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of FMCG experience with strong exposure to Category Management, Shopper Insights, and In-Store/Perfect Store execution.
  • Proven track record in driving category growth and profitable sales through customer collaboration.
  • People management experience (ideally managing managers or specialists).
  • High analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into commercial strategies and executable plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing skills and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in confectionery, snacks, or fast-moving consumer goods is a plus.
