This position is responsible for achieving individual sale targets and including related KPIs as well as annual budgeted sales margin and account renewals. Business Development Manager has the ownership of a market segment, developing and expanding all lines of our products and services with the support of our in-house experts and to ensure the delivery of these quality services to International SOS's clients.

What you'll do:

  • Report directly to Division Head or Senior Managers, supporting the Sales & Marketing Division by identifying new market opportunities and constructing compelling business proposals to secure deals and contracts.
  • Provide professional sales, account management, and customer service support to maintain excellent relationships with both existing and new customers across various industries.
  • Lead regular customer meetings, visits, and terminal tours to foster strong connections and achieve key business objectives while representing the organisation’s values.
  • Manage commercial contracts, tenders, and business negotiations with a focus on achieving financial KPIs and ensuring mutual benefit for all parties involved.
  • Conduct thorough financial feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate the profitability of potential business projects or cases before implementation.
  • Develop effective sales and marketing strategies as well as tailored presentations and proposals that address specific customer needs in a competitive marketplace.
  • Initiate new product or service offerings aimed at growing the business portfolio while responding proactively to emerging market trends.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities for products or services that increase brand awareness among target audiences through cross-divisional collaboration.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management from concept through execution by working closely with internal teams across different functions.
  • Conduct regular marketing research to gather intelligence on competitors, identify industry trends, spot new opportunities or threats, and inform strategic decision-making processes.

What you bring:

  • A degree preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Management, Communications, Logistics or Aviation-related disciplines provides a solid academic foundation for this position.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in business development, sales management, account management or related fields equips you with practical insights into market expansion strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability in solution selling, especially within multinational organisations, enables you to engage effectively with senior stakeholders such as HR managers or purchasing directors.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, Chinese (Cantonese), and Mandarin allow you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds while expressing ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Chinese word processing ensures efficient preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Strong numerical aptitude combined with analytically abilities empowers you to conduct detailed financial feasibility studies for proposed projects or cases.
  • Outstanding presentation skills coupled with negotiation expertise enable you to deliver persuasive pitches that address client needs while securing mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills help you manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising attention to detail or quality of outcomes.
  • A positive attitude marked by conscientiousness, willingness to learn new concepts quickly, adaptability in changing environments, and high self-discipline, are essential traits for thriving in this role.
