Key responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Board of Directors to shape and execute strategic priorities, providing transparent updates on organisational performance, financial health, programme impact, and key risks
  • Lead overall financial management, ensuring prudent budgeting, effective resource allocation, strong governance, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Drive fundraising and revenue growth initiatives by building and strengthening relationships with institutional donors, corporate partners, government agencies, foundations, and philanthropic stakeholders
  • Oversee programme strategy and delivery, ensuring initiatives align with the organisation’s mission, achieve measurable outcomes, and continuously evolve to maximise community impact
  • Serve as the organisation’s principal ambassador and spokesperson, cultivating strategic partnerships and engaging with government bodies, community leaders, NGOs, and media to advance its mission and visibility
  • Provide inspirational leadership to employees and volunteers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture that promotes accountability, engagement, and professional development

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree, Executive MBA, or other relevant postgraduate qualification is highly preferred
  • At least 8–10 years’ senior executive leadership experience (e.g., CEO, Executive Director, COO, or equivalent), ideally within the NGO, non-profit, public, or social impact sectors
  • Proven track record of leading multi-functional teams, managing complex operations, and overseeing substantial budgets supported by diversified funding sources
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor engagement, grant acquisition, strategic planning, financial management, and measuring organisational impact
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is essential; Mandarin proficiency and strong stakeholder management skills across boards, donors, government bodies, and community partners are highly advantageous
