Senior Group Procurement Manager
A leading travel and tourism company seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead and optimize its central procurement function. This critical role will drive significant improvements in efficiency and value creation through strategic initiatives to enhance procurement strategies, processes, and systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement central procurement strategies and programs to improve organizational efficiency, including optimizing supplier registration, tendering, supplier performance management, and data analytics.
- Process & System Enhancement: Lead improvements to the e-procurement system (SAP Ariba) and the procure-to-pay process, streamlining workflows and optimizing resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, aligning procurement activities with organizational goals. Provide regular training on procurement policies and procedures.
- Procurement Lifecycle Management: Oversee all stages of procurement: defining approaches, specifying requirements, vendor selection, evaluation, negotiation, and contract preparation.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Enhance and monitor supplier performance, fostering a strong supplier network.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures. Develop and improve policies focused on value creation and efficiency while maintaining strong controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A CIPS or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- 10 years+ of relevant procurement experience in a large organization
- Proven experience in category management, particularly within marketing/branding and/or IT services.
- Expertise in utilizing SAP Ariba e-procurement systems and a strong understanding of procurement compliance regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
