A leading global organisation seeks a Director of Manufacturing in Hong Kong to transform regional operations across Asia, driving operational excellence through strategic manufacturing leadership and supply chain alignment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own manufacturing performance across Asia, ensuring delivery against operational KPIs, service standards, and continuous improvement targets across joint venture and partner-operated facilities
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, performance metrics, and review cadences to enhance operational reliability, accountability, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing network
  • Shape and execute the regional manufacturing strategy, aligning manufacturing capabilities with global supply chain priorities to support sustainable growth and scalability
  • Lead manufacturing transformation initiatives, advancing LEAN practices, automation, standardisation, and capability development to improve productivity and cost performance
  • Influence and partner with senior leaders, joint ventures, and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence, organisational change, and leadership capability across the region
  • Oversee joint venture and partner relationships, ensuring effective governance, risk management, compliance, and alignment with long-term business objectives
  • Manage regional manufacturing budgets and collaborate with supply chain, planning, logistics, and product teams to optimise end-to-end performance while advancing safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards

Candidate profile:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain within complex, multi-country operations
  • Strong track record managing multi-site manufacturing networks, including joint venture and partner-led environments
  • Expertise in LEAN manufacturing, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead effectively within matrix organisations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with budget ownership, cost optimisation experience, and fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
