Job Responsibilities

As General Manager – Food, House Brand, you will play a pivotal role in steering the business and managing the product development cycle towards sustained growth and crafting effective strategies that resonate with local consumers.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies tailored to the local market, ensuring alignment with broader group objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends, customer behaviours, and competitive activities to drive revenue growth.
  • Formulate detailed quarterly and annual plans with clear, actionable steps designed to meet ambitious revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that increase local sales and expand overall market share.
  • Enhance brand awareness through targeted campaigns and partnerships that resonate with key consumer segments.
  • Conduct regular reviews of market intelligence data to inform decision-making processes and maintain a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline is required for this position as it provides essential foundational knowledge for success.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in FMCG distribution demonstrates your ability to navigate complex markets and deliver results consistently over time.
  • Proven track record in business development highlights your capacity for identifying growth opportunities and executing successful strategies.
  • Strategic management experience ensures you are adept at setting long-term goals while adapting quickly to evolving circumstances.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to build trust-based relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients alike.
  • Strong analytical abilities allow you to interpret market data effectively and translate insights into actionable plans.
