Legal Counsel - Inhouse Opportunity

A leading global professional services organisation seeks a Legal Counsel in Hong Kong to provide strategic legal support across international operations and drive business success.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead contract negotiations and reviews across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance, managing risk, and supporting commercial objectives
• Advise on complex legal and regulatory matters, including intellectual property, data privacy, technology, sanctions, employment, and tax, while providing practical business-focused guidance
• Develop and strengthen the organisation's legal and compliance framework by drafting policies, implementing risk management initiatives, and delivering training across business functions
• Partner with global legal, compliance, client services, and senior leadership teams to resolve cross-border legal issues and enable safe, compliant business operations
• Take ownership of high-impact legal projects in a fast-growing international environment, building trusted stakeholder relationships and driving effective, collaborative outcomes

Candidate profile:

• Qualified lawyer (Hong Kong or Mainland China; dual qualification preferred) with a BA/BS/LLB or equivalent law degree, plus at least 1 year's experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, providing strategic legal advice, and managing both transactional and non-transactional legal matters
• Exposure to fast-paced, international, multi-jurisdictional environments, collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Strong commercial judgment, resilience, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, influence stakeholders, and build trusted relationships through emotional intelligence
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin and a track record of delivering practical, business-focused legal solutions
