Compliance AVP/VP (Brokerage / Wealth management)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a prominent Chinese financial institution, seeking high-calibre candidates to join its compliance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily working relationships with SFC and other regulatory bodies, including but not limited to, handling regulatory investigations, inquiries, and referred complaints; preparing submissions of compliance reports to regulators; and coordinating regulatory onsite/offsite reviews, with a focus on Fintech, Retail, and PWM businesses.
- Provide practical advices to support the ongoing operations and future development of the businesses regarding applicable rules, regulations and regulatory expectations
- Establish and maintain Compliance policies and procedures to ensure business operations and practice are consistent with regulatory requirements
- Closely follow the development of relevant laws and regulations and provide analysis and highlights to senior Compliance management
- Ensure staff members and management to be updated with the latest regulatory and internal policy requirements by conducting workshops and ad hoc/routine training
- Review new business/product initiatives and provide compliance advices about regulatory/licensing requirements, and obtain regulators’ approval as required before the rollout of the new services
- Handle any ad-hoc compliance tasks assigned by the Head of Regulatory Compliance
Requirements:

University degree or above from a top-ranked university.

At least 5 years of experience in Business Advisory Compliance, Legal, or regulatory roles, with significant exposure to the retail banking, private wealth management or brokerage sectors.

Well-versed in relevant regulations and market practices.

Strong understanding of laws and regulations affecting banks or securities firms in retail, fintech, and wealth management.

Hands-on experience interacting with regulators and exchanges, along with project management experience.

Mature, thoughtful, and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for technology.

Proactive team player with excellent interpersonal, coordination, and communication abilities.

Bilingual, good command of written and verbal English and Chinese
