Assistant Vice President – HRBP (Financial Services)

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Vice President HRBP you will be instrumental in supporting the execution of strategic people initiatives that align with business goals.

  • Assist in executing HR strategies in partnership with business stakeholders, including workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including sourcing, interviews, offer management, and onboarding processes
  • Maintain relationships with external recruitment partners and ensure effective hiring practices
  • Support annual HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation exercises, and headcount planning
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics including staffing updates, organisational data, and workforce metrics
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and provide guidance in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to employee relations activities and promote a positive working environment
  • Participate in HR transformation or process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Work closely with internal HR teams to ensure consistent and high-quality HR service delivery
  • Support implementation of employee engagement initiatives and other HR programmes as required

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Vice President HRBP, your background should reflect substantial hands-on experience supporting HRBP functions within large-scale organisations—preferably within banking or financial services environments.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to HR business partnering functions
  • Background in financial services, banking, or large multinational organisations is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Strong command of English and Cantonese for effective communication with stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across levels
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
