What you'll do:

As a Compensation and Benefits Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of compensation and benefits operations within Hong Kong and Macau.

  • Oversee daily compensation and benefits operations for Hong Kong and Macau, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant service delivery at all times.
  • Manage payroll processing for designated business units while providing guidance and support to junior team members involved in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Administer employee benefits programmes such as provident fund schemes, insurance plans, and other company-sponsored benefit offerings.
  • Support annual budgeting exercises by preparing workforce cost projections, conducting staff cost analysis, and contributing valuable insights for business planning.
  • Review existing compensation and benefits processes including payroll workflow, staff cost budgeting, and HR system set-up to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Advise department heads and line managers on matters related to payroll, taxation, statutory requirements, and other compensation-related topics.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards as well as management reports that provide clear compensation benchmarking analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse key HR metrics such as payroll costs, overtime trends, absenteeism rates, workforce demographics, and more to deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Provide local compensation data, workforce insights, and operational support for group-led rewards exercises as well as HR transformation projects.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of group compensation initiatives locally while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and Macau.

What you bring:

To excel as a Compensation and Benefits Manager in this organisation you will bring proven experience managing end-to-end C&B operations within sizeable or multinational environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in compensation and benefits management—including payroll administration—in large organisations or multinational corporations is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Hong Kong and Macau employment legislation including Inland Revenue Ordinance, MPF regulations, and other statutory requirements is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms is highly desirable for efficient process management.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with strong numerical abilities are needed to interpret complex data sets accurately.
  • High attention to detail ensures precision in all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Proactive attitude coupled with adaptability enables you to respond effectively within a changing environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented structure is important for success in this role.
  • Good command of written and spoken English as well as Chinese is required for effective communication across diverse teams.
