Team Head, Credit Approval (Wholesale Bank)

Our client, a leading wholesale banking group, is looking for a Team Lead, Credit Risk to join their regional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee the credit approval process for wholesale clients, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize credit assessment and approval workflows.
• Analyze credit risk and financial statements to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on credit risk and team performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in credit analysis or risk management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in credit risk assessment tools and financial modeling.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
