Responsibilities

  • Oversee the post-trade processing and settlement of various financial products, including equities, fixed income, funds, structured products, securities lending (SBL), and derivatives.
  • Collaborate with traders, counterparties, and brokers to ensure timely and accurate trade execution and confirmation.
  • Manage the settlement process, including daily reconciliation of trades and positions.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to trade settlements and position management promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and Group policies related to settlement operations.
  • Identify operational risks and implement best practices to mitigate them.
  • Streamline operational workflows through automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in the implementation of new products and ensure proper controls and resources are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding settlement operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within back-office operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 6-10 years of experience in operations, particularly in settlement for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Familiarity with Clearstream, Euroclear, CCASS, and other relevant systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
