Accounting and Fund Reporting Manager

An organisation seeks an Accounting and Fund Reporting Manager to oversee investment portfolio accounting, fund reporting, regulatory compliance, and liquidity management while supporting SFC licensing initiatives in Hong Kong.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company's back-office capabilities and improving operational workflows, while supporting the its ongoing efforts to obtain SFC Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) licenses.

Key responsibilities:

As Accounting and Fund Reporting Manager, you will lead portfolio accounting, fund reporting, compliance, and operational enhancements to support investment activities and SFC licensing.

Portfolio & Entity Accounting

• Manage accounting records, ledgers, reconciliations, and financial reporting across investment portfolios and multiple entities

Fund Investment Monitoring & Cash Flow

• Maintain fund investment databases covering commitments, capital activity, NAV, expenses, and performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI
• Monitor capital calls, distributions, co-investments, and unfunded commitments
• Support liquidity planning through cash flow forecasting and analysis

Portfolio Performance Reporting

• Produce portfolio performance reports across public and private asset classes
• Develop dashboards, investment summaries, and reporting materials for stakeholders
• Track portfolio performance and risk indicators, ensuring accurate and timely reporting

SFC Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare and submit Financial Resources Returns (FRR) and other regulatory filings
• Maintain records supporting liquid capital calculations and regulatory compliance
• Assist with annual and periodic submissions under SFC requirements

Portfolio Management Platform

• Oversee portfolio data integrity, maintenance, and quality control
• Partner with vendors on system enhancements, customisation, and issue resolution
• Develop procedures, user guides, and training materials to improve platform adoption

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring fund accounting expertise, professional accounting qualifications, and strong investment reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvement skills.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred
• 5–10 years’ experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or portfolio reporting within asset management, private investment, or family office environments
• Knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS, investment accounting, and multi-asset portfolios including private equity and alternative investments
• Experience supporting SFC-regulated entities, including FRR and regulatory reporting requirements, is highly preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities accurately
