Business Analyst – AML/Compliance (Finance Firm)

A leading finance firm seeks a Business Analyst in Hong Kong to drive AML-focused transformation, streamlining processes and strengthening digital compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering and process analysis for insurance transformation, supporting underwriting automation and STP
• Analyse business, operational, AML, and regulatory needs and translate them into clear functional requirements and process flows
• Map current-state processes and recommend streamlined digital workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance to incorporate AML, KYC, and regulatory controls into digital solutions
• Coordinate UAT activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and resolution, to support quality delivery
• Facilitate alignment across IT, Operations, Underwriting, and Compliance to support delivery and user adoption

Candidate profile:

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within Life Insurance, ideally across Transformation, Operations, or Digital projects
• Hands-on exposure to Underwriting, Straight-Through Processing (STP), AML/Compliance, CRM, or distribution channel digitalisation
• Strong understanding of SDLC across Agile and Waterfall environments, with proficiency in Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical, process-mapping, requirements analysis, and stakeholder management skills
• Good spoken and written English and Chinese
