A well-known developer seeks for a Facility Manager (Maintenance) to oversee their grade A commercial project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation, repair, and maintenance of building services systems and facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance by the maintenance team.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to building infrastructure and facilities.
  • Prepare and execute annual maintenance plans, manage maintenance services, lead the in-house maintenance team, and supervise outsourced contractors.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to maintenance staff to enhance technical competencies and overall performance.
  • Review maintenance work orders, prepare cost quotations, and manage tender documentation in accordance with established procurement procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual maintenance budgets and provide recommendations for management review.
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenditures through preventive maintenance programs, effective inventory management, and strict adherence to tendering and competitive quotation practices.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of maintenance activities and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and professional advice to other departments as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Membership in a recognized professional institution is preferred (e.g., MHKIE, MBSOMES, RICS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building maintenance and engineering operations, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Hands-on experience and technical knowledge of seawater-cooled chiller plant systems would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and contractor coordination skills.
  • Good understanding of maintenance planning, budgeting, procurement, and statutory compliance requirements.
