Tax - Assistant Manager / Manager | 50K - 70K

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager / Assistant Tax Manager to oversee and manage all tax-related matters for our operations in Hong Kong / Mainland China. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting business initiatives from a tax perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all direct and indirect tax matters for Hong Kong and PRC entities, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, payments, and reporting in compliance with local regulations.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory support to optimize tax efficiency across business units.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities on tax-related issues and audits.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Support cross-border transactions and transfer pricing documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure tax compliance in new projects and initiatives.
• Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
• Lead or support tax-related projects, including system enhancements and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience, with exposure to both Hong Kong and PRC tax regimes.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing regulations.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or multinational corporations is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
