Our client is a reputable Hong Kong listed conglomerate with a diversified business portfolio across multiple sectors. As part of its continued business growth and finance transformation journey, they are seeking a high-calibre Group Finance Manager to strengthen the corporate finance team and support strategic decision-making across the Group.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing group consolidation and financial reporting, driving business performance analysis, and leading finance transformation initiatives across the organisation. This role offers strong exposure to senior management and business leaders, making it an excellent opportunity for finance professionals seeking a broad and impactful position.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation

  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation processes across multiple business units and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with HKFRS/IFRS and listing requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance teams across business units to ensure consistency in accounting policies and reporting standards.
  • Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors on group reporting matters.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the Group.

Business Performance Analysis

  • Partner with business unit finance teams to review financial performance and identify key business drivers.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis, profitability reviews and KPI tracking across business segments.
  • Provide insightful management reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning processes.
  • Evaluate investment performance and assist in strategic business initiatives.

Finance Transformation & Process Automation

  • Drive finance transformation projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, controls and reporting quality.
  • Review and redesign finance processes to improve operational effectiveness and scalability.
  • Lead automation initiatives leveraging ERP systems, Power BI, Power Platform, RPA, AI tools and other digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on system implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Establish data analytics and dashboard reporting capabilities to improve decision-making.

Governance & Controls

  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks and financial processes across the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Identify risks and recommend process improvements to enhance control effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience gained from listed companies, multinational corporations and/or Big 4 audit firms.
  • Solid hands-on experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting.
  • Proven track record in management reporting, FP&A and business performance analysis.
  • Experience leading finance transformation, system implementation or process automation projects.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 or equivalent), Power BI and automation tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.
