A leading multinational shipping firm seeks an Accountant to ensure accurate financial operations and support effective business performance in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the full set of accounts and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient processes
• Lead month-end closing, prepare financial reports, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations to support informed business decisions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Partner with auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders to support audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and finance improvement initiatives to strengthen operational efficiency and business performance

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with at least 5 years’ accounting experience in a multinational or large-scale organisation
• Proven expertise in full-set accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and applying accounting principles to ensure accurate financial results
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with experience supporting end-to-end finance operations in a corporate environment
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and strong teamwork
