Head of Finance Ops | Manufacturing MNC | 100k

A leading multinational manufacturer seeks a Head of Finance Operations in Hong Kong to lead regional finance transformation, optimise AR/AP operations, and drive business performance across APAC.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the regional AR/AP agenda: design and implement standardised O2C and P2P processes, policies, and workflows for HK, PRC, and other APAC entities
• Lead and develop the HK and PRC finance operations teams (AR, AP, billing, collections, cash application, vendor management), including structure, KPIs, and succession planning
• Ensure timely, accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application; drive DSO reduction, aging discipline, and dispute resolution in close partnership with Sales and Operations
• Oversee AP processing, vendor onboarding, three-way match, GR/IR reconciliation, and payment runs; strengthen controls and working-capital discipline across the region
• Manage cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and liquidity reporting for APAC, coordinating with Group Treasury on banking structures, FX, and funding needs
• Implement and optimise ERP/finance systems and tools (e.g., SAP/Oracle) to improve automation, data quality, and control in AR/AP and related sub-ledgers
• Drive month-end close activities for finance operations (sub-ledger close, reconciliations, accruals), ensuring clean audits and strong compliance with HK/PRC and Group requirements
• Act as regional operations finance partner to the GM, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain leaders, providing insights on cash, working capital, and process efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent strongly preferred
• 10+ years in finance operations or working capital within multinational manufacturing, including 5+ years leading regional AR/AP teams across APAC with Hong Kong and PRC experience
• Big 4 audit or advisory background is a must
• Proven track record leading and scaling AR/AP teams in both Hong Kong and Mainland China, with hands-on experience in high-volume, multi-entity manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of HK and PRC accounting/tax requirements as they impact invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and compliance, plus working familiarity with other APAC markets
• Demonstrated success in standardising AR/AP processes and systems across multiple jurisdictions, including ERP implementations or major finance transformation projects
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
