A prestigious listed group seeks a Senior Accountant in Hong Kong to strengthen financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, drive process improvements, and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HKFRS/IFRS and group reporting standards
• Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and group consolidation
• Prepare management reports with variance analysis to support business performance and decision-making
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit readiness for statutory and group reporting requirements
• Maintain and strengthen compliance with HKFRS, Hong Kong tax regulations, accounting policies, and internal controls
• Drive accounting process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting, group consolidation, and audit, ideally within a Big 4 or leading audit firm (audit/assurance background)
• Strong knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS, financial reporting, and group consolidation
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin preferred
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
