A leading multinational retail organisation seeks an Accountant in Hong Kong to deliver accurate financial reporting, strengthen month-end processes, and support regional financial excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead accurate month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare financial statements, reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and intercompany accounts, to maintain financial integrity
• Partner with local and regional finance teams to ensure consistent accounting treatment and high-quality financial reporting across the organization
• Strengthen financial controls by reviewing accounting entries, resolving reconciliation issues, and supporting statutory and external audit requirements
• Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives through ad hoc projects that enhance processes and reporting efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ accounting or financial reporting experience
• Strong expertise in month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, financial reporting, and management reporting
• Experience working in regional or multinational environments with exposure to cross-border finance operations and collaboration
• Sound knowledge of IFRS/HKFRS (or equivalent accounting standards) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
• Meticulous, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively, with strong English communication skills; Cantonese or Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
