Assistant / Senior Accountant | MNC | Up to 38k

A leading multinational organisation seeks an Assistant/Senior Accountant in Hong Kong to strengthen finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage full-set accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support business performance and informed decision-making
• Oversee intercompany transactions, AP/AR activities, accruals, and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Partner with regional finance teams, auditors, and external stakeholders to support statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements in Hong Kong
• Drive finance process improvements, system enhancements, and ad hoc projects that strengthen operational efficiency and financial controls

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3–5+ years' accounting experience, preferably gained in an MNC or regional environment
• Solid experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting
• Knowledge of IFRS and Hong Kong accounting / compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems/ERP; SAP or similar system experience is an advantage
• Good command of English; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus
