Financial Controller | station in Guangdong

A sizable corporation with global business is looking for a Financial Controller for one of their subsidiaries in Guangdong area.

About the Role

This is a Head of Finance role responsible for overseeing overseas finance operations, managing full sets of accounts, and acting as a key business partner to the leadship team. The role will play a critical part in strengthening financial governance, improving reporting quality, and supporting regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage full sets of accounts for overseas subsidiaries, including month‑end closing, consolidation, and statutory reporting
• Supervise and provide guidance to local finance team, ensuring compliance with group policies and local regulations
• Prepare management accounts, financial analysis, and variance reports for senior management and the Board
• Partner closely with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business performance analysis
• Support group reporting requirements for a Hong Kong‑listed company, including audit coordination and internal controls
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls across regional operations
• Act as a key finance representative in cross‑functional projects and regional business initiatives

The Successful Applicant

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; CPA / ACCA / equivalent qualification required
• 10+ years of relevant finance experience, with solid PRC exposure in large corporations environment
• Proven experience managing overseas finance operations and full sets of accounts
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing regional finance teams
• Hands‑on, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast‑growing, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management
• Willingness and flexibility to station in Guangdong area with allowances & accomodation provided
