Java Application Lead (Oracle ERP)

This role focuses on the design, development, integration, and management of applications connected to Oracle ERP platforms, with particular emphasis on Finance-related processes, enterprise integrations, and large-scale system delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technology partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing application solutions while driving best practices across software engineering and project delivery.

The position requires a strong balance of hands-on Java development expertise, Oracle ERP application knowledge, and technical leadership capability, with proven experience in enterprise application delivery, system integration, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a key contributor in the design and delivery of enterprise application solutions, partnering with business and finance stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable application architectures and system enhancements.
• Lead the design, development, and support of Java-based enterprise applications integrated with Oracle ERP platforms and Finance-related systems.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, implementation, and post-production support.
• Collaborate with business users, finance teams, vendors, and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of business-critical application initiatives.
• Drive integration between Oracle ERP modules and surrounding enterprise systems through APIs, Web Services, messaging platforms, and middleware technologies.
• Lead application modernization initiatives, promoting scalable architecture, automation, cloud adoption, and improved operational efficiency.
• Oversee project governance activities, including scope management, resource planning, risk management, issue resolution, and change control.
• Promote engineering best practices across Agile delivery, coding standards, testing automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and production readiness.
• Support the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve development productivity and software quality.
• Ensure application stability and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including application architecture, integration specifications, solution designs, and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in enterprise application development, application support, and project delivery, with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Framework, and enterprise application architecture.
• Proven experience supporting and delivering Oracle ERP solutions, preferably across Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Settlement, Reconciliation, or related business domains.
• Experience integrating Oracle ERP with internal and external enterprise applications using APIs, Web Services, MQ, or middleware technologies.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases, ERP workflows, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Experience managing complex application projects and working with cross-functional business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based application architectures is advantageous.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software development, enterprise AI platforms, or modern software engineering practices is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
