Frontend Developer, React, Next.js (FS, Contract)

A reputable financial services company is looking for a Frontend Developer to join their fast-paced finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining frontend architecture, JavaScript frameworks, and highly interactive HTML5/CSS-based Single Page Applications (SPA) as well as Multi-Page Web Applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend architecture for responsive, user-friendly web applications
• Create prototypes and refine features based on evolving business needs
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, documentation, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
• Participate in reviews of system architecture, technical designs, and code quality
• Collaborate closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and other partners to deliver effective solutions

Candidate profile:

To succeed in this role, you bring strong application development experience, modern web and cloud expertise, and a solid understanding of DevSecOps.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT application development and supporting critical business systems
• Strong expertise in modern JavaScript technologies, including frontend frameworks such as React.js and Next.js, backend technologies such as Node.js, styling libraries such as Bootstrap or Material UI, and style languages including CSS or Sass
• Proven ability to create advanced, responsive layouts for web applications
• Solid background in Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Cloud, as well as data-related frameworks such as Spring Data and Spring MVC
• Comprehensive knowledge of web application design principles, including RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud, with familiarity in deploying scalable web applications in cloud environments
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, REST/GraphQL APIs, relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, caching mechanisms, Kafka, and other cloud-native infrastructure tools
• Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to both technical experts and non-specialist audiences
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using static code analysis tools such as SonarQube or Black Duck
