Senior Automated QA (Java)

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts using technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and Python
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure system quality and stability
• Analyse test results, investigate defects, and work closely with development teams to drive issue resolution
• Enhance and optimise existing automation frameworks to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort
• Participate in requirement reviews and technical discussions to identify test scenarios and quality risks early in the SDLC
• Develop and maintain automated testing tools to support continuous testing and delivery initiatives
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production release activities
• Validate APIs, system interfaces, workflows, and business processes across complex financial systems
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and end users to ensure successful project delivery
• Contribute to test strategy, quality assurance best practices, automation adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support production investigations and provide testing expertise for issue analysis and resolution

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent frameworks
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or other programming/scripting languages used for test automation
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, defect management, and release processes
• Experience in API testing, integration testing, and automated regression testing
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a quality-driven mindset
• Exposure to financial services, capital markets, trading platforms, or other mission-critical systems would be highly advantageous
