IT System Administrator, Financial Services

A financial services firm in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to manage and support IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualisation platforms, and enterprise applications
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system, network, and infrastructure issues to minimise business disruption
• Manage user accounts, access controls, security groups, and IT asset inventory
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery activities
• Maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and wireless solutions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to implement new technology solutions and system enhancements

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in system administration
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and virtualisation technologies
• Experience supporting network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and LAN/WAN environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure is an advantage
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or ITIL, are preferred
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage
