IT Business Analyst – Front Office Trading (Investment Banking)

A leading financial services organisation seeks an experienced IT Business Analyst to enhance cash equity trading systems in Hong Kong.

Bridge business and technology teams to translate trading requirements into effective system solutions, strengthen workflows, and support front-office operations across Asian markets.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and UAT plans from front-office, middle-office, and research stakeholders
• Analyse business processes, identify system gaps and operational risks, and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business users to design and implement cash equity trading and research systems
• Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), validate requirements, and resolve implementation issues
• Assess project progress, monitor delivery risks, and communicate key updates to senior management
• Contribute to system enhancements and process improvements that strengthen trading workflows and operational efficiency

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience with cash equity front-office trading systems, including 3+ years in business analysis and application support within investment banking or securities trading
• Strong hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), and exchange connectivity in a buy-side or sell-side environment
• Solid understanding of cash equity trading workflows across Asian markets
• Working knowledge of Linux, Excel, SQL, and FIX Protocol
• Excellent Cantonese and English communication skills, with strong analytical abilities
