Trading System Application Support (Fidessa, Chinese Required)

A reputable securities brokerage firm in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Trading System Application Support Specialist to join their team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with traders, sales teams, project managers, and developers in a fast-paced front-office environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide front-line application support for Fidessa trading systems, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime
• Support trading activities across a range of financial products, including but not limited to equities, derivatives (options and futures), and fixed income products
• Act as the primary point of contact for traders and sales teams, addressing system-related issues promptly and effectively
• Collaborate with project managers and development teams to implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with business requirements
• Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis for incidents, and proactively identify areas for improvement
• Manage system configurations, upgrades, and patches while adhering to compliance standards
• Deliver training and guidance to end users on system functionalities and best practices

Candidate profile:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience supporting front-office trading systems within a financial institution or brokerage firm
• Strong expertise in Fidessa trading systems is mandatory
• Proven ability to work directly with traders and sales teams in a high-pressure environment
• Solid understanding of equity trading workflows, market data feeds, and order management systems (OMS)
• Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English is essential for effective communication across diverse stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with ITIL processes or similar frameworks is advantageous but not required
• Candidates must currently be based in Hong Kong
