Technology Governance & Risk Specialist

A global services organisation seeks a Technology Governance and Risk Specialist in Hong Kong to strengthen technology risk, cybersecurity, and governance frameworks across regional and global operations.

As part of its continued investment in technology risk, cybersecurity, and control frameworks, the company is seeking a Technology Governance & Risk Specialist to support governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and assurance activities across regional and global technology environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the assessment and review of technology governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and control frameworks across the organisation
• Conduct risk-based reviews covering areas such as IT governance, cybersecurity, cloud security, identity and access management, infrastructure security, data protection, and business continuity
• Perform control testing, walkthroughs, data analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of technology controls and operating processes
• Identify control gaps, technology risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen controls and governance practices
• Assist in developing and maintaining technology risk assessment methodologies, governance frameworks, testing programmes, and control standards
• Monitor remediation activities and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified risks and control issues
• Prepare clear and concise reports, presenting observations, risk implications, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders
• Partner with technology, cybersecurity, risk, and business teams to promote effective governance and risk management practices
• Support reviews relating to cloud platforms, infrastructure services, technology projects, and third-party technology vendors

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years’ experience in technology risk, IT audit, cybersecurity, technology governance, risk management, or control assurance
• Good understanding of IT governance, risk management, and control frameworks
• Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, including identity and access management, vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, and data protection
• Understanding of cloud technologies and security controls across Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments
• Fluent in both English and Cantonese
