(Senior) Technology Risk Manager – Financial Services

A leading financial services firm seeks a Senior Technology Risk Manager in Hong Kong to strengthen technology risk and operational resilience, safeguarding critical systems and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and monitor technology risks across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and digital platforms
• Review and challenge risk assessments for major technology initiatives, cloud adoption, system implementations, and infrastructure changes
• Evaluate technology risk exposures and ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite
• Assess the effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls, and technology governance processes
• Monitor technology risk issues, action plans, and remediation activities
• Support operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery programmes
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices relating to technology and cyber risk
• Prepare and present technology risk reports, dashboards, and management information to senior leadership and risk committees
• Support the development of technology risk capabilities and best practices across the organisation

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10–12 years’ experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Cybersecurity Risk, Operational Risk, or Technology Controls within banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, application development, and technology operations
• Proven experience in technology risk governance and control assessment
• Professional certifications such as: CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT or related
• Experience with regulatory requirements in the banking sector
• Good command of both English and Chinese, including fluent spoken Cantonese
