Assistant Manager, Cybersecurity (Bank)

A multinational bank is seeking an experienced Technology Risk & Cybersecurity professional to join its cybersecurity team.

The successful candidate will work closely with Technology, Information Security, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to strengthen the bank’s risk posture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee technology and cyber risk assessments across applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, digital channels, and third-party service providers
• Drive the bank’s technology risk and cybersecurity management framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and challenge the effectiveness of technology and cybersecurity controls, ensuring timely remediation of identified risks and vulnerabilities
• Lead regulatory compliance initiatives relating to technology risk, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and outsourcing requirements
• Partner with Technology, Information Security, Operational Risk, Audit, and business stakeholders to strengthen the bank’s risk posture
• Coordinate technology risk reporting, key risk indicators (KRIs), and management information for senior management committees and risk governance forums
• Support cyber incident management, cyber resilience exercises, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery testing

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related discipline
• 5–10 years’ experience in Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, IT Risk Management, Operational Risk, or IT Audit within banking or financial services
• Good understanding of banking regulatory requirements and frameworks
• Experience in technology risk assessments, cybersecurity governance, cloud risk, third-party risk management, and operational resilience
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, technology teams, and regulators
• Fluent in both English and Cantonese
