Cybersecurity OT Engineer (Mandarin Required, Contract)

A leading environmental services organisation seeks a Cybersecurity OT Engineer (Mandarin-speaking) in Hong Kong to strengthen industrial cybersecurity across China and Asia, protecting critical OT, SCADA and IoT environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess OT security vulnerabilities across industrial control systems, SCADA platforms, and IoT environments, identifying and prioritising risks
• Design and implement security controls to protect critical OT networks and systems against evolving cyber threats
• Establish and maintain OT security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and strengthen OT security resilience
• Monitor and support OT security incident response, detecting potential breaches and contributing to timely containment and recovery
• Collaborate with IT security teams, manage OT security technologies, guide colleagues, and stay ahead of emerging threats and countermeasures

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
• 5+ years’ hands-on experience in IT/OT security, with SOC experience advantageous
• Strong exposure to ICS, SCADA, IoT, OT networks and communication protocols
• Proficient in OT security tools, including firewalls, Data Diodes, IDS/IPS, NDR and SIEM
• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82 and OT security best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• CISSP, CISA or CISM certification preferred
• Open to occasional travel across Asia
