API Integration Consultant (PERM, e-Commerce)

In this role, you’ll manage integrations across APIs, e-commerce plugins, web portals, and SFTP, while supporting troubleshooting and process improvement. Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required. The role also offers opportunities for overseas business travel.

• Integrate customers and partners through APIs, web portals, e-commerce plugins, and SFTP.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, platforms, Customer Service, Account Management, and IT to ensure smooth integrations.
• Assess customer needs and operational requirements, and recommend process improvements.
• Develop and support platform connections.
• Define sustainable processes for setting up and maintaining APIs and plugins.
• Maintain organized customer and carrier setups, including incident records and logs.
• Resolve customer inquiries about API connections, CSV files, products, and services in line with company guidelines.
• Keep up to date with integration technologies and support customer IT teams.
• Escalate complex issues to account managers or developers as appropriate.
• Translate customer needs into effective IT solutions and propose new integration solutions.
• Assess the feasibility of new customer cases and advise Sales and other commercial stakeholders on integration requirements.
• Assist with tender processes and contribute ideas for IT improvements.
• Provide backup support to the Senior IT Officer when required.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience, with hands-on expertise in APIs, databases, JSON, CSV, system integration, troubleshooting, migrations, and software development.
• Knowledge of APIs (e.g., REST/SOAP), programming languages, and integration techniques.
• Familiarity with the full integration lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
