AI Engineer

This role focuses on the hands-on design and implementation of AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications, RAG architectures, and cloud-based AI services. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and secure AI solutions.

The position requires a strong balance of software engineering expertise, AI solution development, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of modern AI frameworks, cloud technologies, API development, and software engineering best practices while remaining actively involved in application development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI-powered applications, automation workflows, and GenAI/RAG solutions to support business initiatives.
• Build and integrate APIs, data processing pipelines, and cloud-based AI services within enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into functional AI solutions.
• Optimize model performance, reliability, scalability, and cost through testing, tuning, and monitoring.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and system components following established engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Work with DevOps and engineering teams to deploy secure and scalable AI solutions across environments.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, governance, and architectural standards.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and technical best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years of experience in AI/ML and 1 year focused on Generative AI technologies.
• Strong hands-on development experience using Python and Java.
• Experience building APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies.
• Practical experience with LLM technologies and GenAI frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, and n8n.
• Proven experience working with Large Language Models and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly SageMaker and Bedrock.
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
