Personal Assistant (PA) – Executive Communications & Public Affairs

Part-Time (3 Days per Week) | Hong Kong | Up to HKD 40,000 per Month

About the Role

Our client is a well-established private business group with significant interests in investment, property investment, and related business sectors across Greater China.

Reporting directly to a senior business leader, this role is responsible for supporting executive communications, speechwriting, thought leadership development, policy research, and public affairs initiatives.

This is not a traditional administrative PA position. The successful candidate will act as a trusted communications partner, helping to develop speeches, presentations, briefing materials, and strategic content for business forums, industry events, stakeholder engagements, and public speaking opportunities.

The role is ideal for professionals with strong bilingual writing skills, excellent business acumen, and a keen interest in China's economic development, business environment, investment trends, and public affairs.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Communications & Speechwriting

  • Draft and edit speeches, keynote addresses, presentations, talking points, and executive correspondence in both English and Chinese.
  • Prepare briefing materials for conferences, business forums, interviews, meetings, and public engagements.
  • Develop thought leadership articles, opinion pieces, and executive messages.
  • Ensure all communication materials accurately reflect the executive's views, priorities, and business perspectives.

Research & Strategic Content Development

  • Conduct research and analysis on:
    • China economic and policy developments
    • Greater Bay Area initiatives
    • Financial and investment market trends
    • Property and real estate sectors
    • Business and macroeconomic developments
  • Translate complex business and policy topics into clear, concise, and impactful communications.

Public Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support external engagements, industry events, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Prepare briefing papers, stakeholder profiles, and background research materials.
  • Assist in strengthening executive positioning and public profile within the business community.

Corporate Communications Support

  • Provide strategic communications support on special projects.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across executive communication materials.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders when required.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Executive Communications
    • Corporate Communications
    • Public Affairs
    • Investor Relations
    • Speechwriting
    • Business Journalism
    • Strategic Communications
    • Editorial & Publications

Preferred Industry Background

Strong preference will be given to candidates with exposure to financial investment and/or property investment sectors.
