Senior Manager, Exhibition & Engagement (Art & Culture)

Save job

Our client is a HK listed conglomerate.

About the role

This role leads a flagship cultural project from planning through delivery. You will own exhibition preparation, related programmes, and public engagement, and coordinate partners in Hong Kong and beyond so the project lands on time, on budget, and to the agreed standard.

What you will do

  • Own the project plan end to end: shape the approach, set milestones, and keep exhibition prep, programming, and public engagement on track.
  • Run delivery across all workstreams, balancing scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
  • Bring partners and stakeholders together, chair progress meetings, and clear blockers before they affect delivery.
  • Work with internal divisions and external parties in Hong Kong and other markets so every component fits together.
  • Track performance and prepare clear updates, reports, and recommendations for management decisions.
  • Spot delivery risks early, put mitigations in place, and keep the project aligned with governance, contract, and operating requirements.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A background in arts, history, cultural studies, or a related field is an advantage.
  • A genuine interest in Chinese history, art, and culture.
  • At least 15 years in project management, including 5 years leading complex, multi-party projects.
  • A track record of budgeting, reporting, and risk management on live projects.
  • The ability to juggle several workstreams in a fast-moving setting.
  • Strong stakeholder skills, high EQ, and clear communication in both English and Chinese. Putonghua is a plus.
  • A proactive, collaborative style: you build relationships, solve problems, and can work independently as well as in a team.
  • Alignment with values of integrity, sustainability, excellence, and openness.
