Sr. Ops & Sourcing Director - Furniture/Retail Interior Design

A leading design services organisation seeks a Senior Operation and Sourcing Director in Hong Kong to drive operational excellence, optimise global sourcing, and expand sales channels to enhance growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities:

As Senior Operation and Sourcing Director, you will lead operational excellence, global sourcing, and team performance to strengthen service quality, competitiveness, and business profitability.

• Lead internal teams and supplier management to drive operational change, continuous improvement, and alignment across supply chain, engineering, HR, finance, IT, customers, and suppliers
• Own strategic vendor selection and long-term partnerships while expanding regional and global sourcing to meet quality, safety, pricing, and delivery expectations
• Coordinate quality functions across operations, engineering, quality control units, suppliers, laboratories, and third-party providers to ensure effective collaboration and quality assurance
• Develop and monitor standard operating procedures for product development, costing, production processes, and installation service levels tailored to client needs
• Establish and monitor KPIs against client expectations, report performance regularly, identify improvement actions, and apply industry insights to strengthen market position and competitive advantage
• Support budgeting and monitor P&L performance while managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing operations team to achieve business objectives and maintain high standards

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing complex supply chains, with a proven track record of success
• Proven ability to develop sales strategies, establish performance metrics, and plan strategically and operationally
• Strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, teamwork, and cross-functional project management skills to align teams toward shared goals
• In-depth knowledge of global markets, particularly APAC, with an understanding of product and service requirements across the Middle East, Africa, India, and Europe
• Excellent negotiation, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong business ethics, integrity, and established relationships with existing or potential customers and supply partners preferred
